A Complete Technical Proposal for Roller Blinds
A Complete Technical Proposal for Roller Blinds
Before purchasing a project, buyers will require the seller to provide a comprehensive technical proposal to facilitate evaluation of construction methods, such as curtain box size, cable routing, and procurement budget. This is also a required document for project bidding. EMLUX can provide this as a reference for buyers.Office Electric Sunshade Roller Blind Technical Proposal
Project Number: OFFICE-BL-2023-001
Version: V1.0
Date: October 26, 2023
Project Name: XX Company Headquarters Office Shading and Privacy Solution
I. Project Overview
1.1 Project Background
To improve visual comfort, thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and privacy at XX Company's headquarters office, we plan to install electric sunshade roller blinds on the windows of open office areas, private offices, and conference rooms. This project aims to create a smart, modern, healthy, and efficient office environment.
1.2 Project Scope
This proposal covers:
Design, supply, and installation of electric roller blind systems for all windows in the office area.
Integration and commissioning of the intelligent control system.
System operation training and after-sales service.
1.3 Design Basis and Standards
Code for Fire Protection Design of Interior Decoration of Buildings (GB 50222-2017)
Standard for Electrical Design of Civil Buildings (GB 51348-2019)
General Technical Requirements for Building Shading (JG/T 274-2018)
Architectural plans, elevations, and decorative design requirements provided by the client

II. Design Objectives and Technical Parameters
Parameter Category Technical Indicators and Requirements
Mounting Location: Inside or Outside Mount
Core Functions: Shading, Dimming, Privacy, Energy Saving, Aesthetics
Noise Level: ≤35 dB(A) (Quiet operation, no disruption to work)
Control Methods: Wall switch, remote control, mobile app, voice control (optional), group control
Power Supply: AC 220V mains power supply or lithium battery + solar panel (no wiring required)
Safety Features: Overload protection, stop upon obstruction, child safety lock (remote control)
Working Environment: Indoor, Temperature: 0°C to +40°C
III. System Detailed Technical Plan
3.1 Curtain Material Selection (Configured Based on Different Space Requirements)
Open Office Area/Conference Room:
Material: Fiberglass fabric + PVC coating.
Type: Sunlight fabric (Openness Factor 3%-5%).

Advantages: Effectively blocks most UV rays and heat, while filtering strong light into a soft, diffused glow, eliminating screen glare. Allows for clear outdoor visibility, providing privacy without appearing oppressive. Maintains a neutral gray or white color temperature, matching modern office styles.
Private Office/Focus Space:
Material: Polyester blackout fabric.
Type: Blackout fabric.
Advantages: 100% blackout, suitable for projection, lunch breaks, or environments requiring absolute focus. Provides excellent thermal insulation.

Common Area/Corridor:
Material: Semi-blackout or dimming fabric.
Type: Provides soft background light, maintaining a sense of transparency.
3.2 Drive and Operating System
Motor: Tubular motor, powered by 24V DC. DC motors are characterized by smooth starting and stopping, extremely low noise, and high safety.
Built-in Receiver Module: Supports radio frequency (RF) wireless signal control and can be connected to multiple controllers.

Power Solution:
Option A (Recommended): Powered by a lithium battery (approximately 6-12 months of battery life) with a micro solar panel (optional). This solution requires no wiring, is easy to install, and does not affect existing decor.

Option B: Powered by a traditional AC 220V power supply, which is stable and reliable, but requires pre-wiring.

3.3 Intelligent Control System
Local Control:
Wall Switch: Four-button scene switch (supports raise, stop, lower, and group control).
Remote Control: 15-30 meters control range, capable of controlling multiple roller shutters individually or in groups.
Intelligent Integration:
Intelligent Gateway: Connects to the company's LAN via Zigbee/WiFi protocols.
Mobile App: Enables remote control, scheduled tasks (such as automatic opening at 9:00 AM on weekdays), and scene linkage.
Voice Control: Optional integration with voice assistants such as Tmall Genie and Google Assistant.
Group and Scene Modes:
One-touch scenes: Examples include "Meeting Mode" (all blinds simultaneously lower to 80%), "Lunch Break Mode" (all closed), and "Off-Duty Mode" (all open).
Zone Control: Enables unified control by zone (such as south-facing windows).
3.4 Safety and Protection Mechanisms
Stop on Obstacle: The motor has a built-in torque sensor that immediately stops and reverses a short distance if it encounters an obstacle during operation.
Limit Setting: Electronic limit settings allow precise upper and lower stop points to be set via software, eliminating the need for mechanical adjustment.
Quiet Operation: High-quality nylon gears and precision construction ensure a quiet office environment.
IV. Installation and Deployment Plan
4.1 Measurement and Design
Recessed Installation: Accurately measure the window opening's height, width, and depth to ensure the roller shutter system fits perfectly and doesn't interfere with window opening and closing.

External Installation: Measure the outer dimensions of the window frame. The roller shutter box can partially cover the wall for better shading.
Design and Coordination: Confirm the curtain color and material with the interior design team to ensure an overall aesthetically pleasing design.
4.2 Installation Process
On-site Re-Measurement: Reconfirm final dimensions before installation.
Mount Bracket and Roller Shutter Box: Secure the brackets and roller shutter box (typically made of aluminum alloy with a plastic-sprayed finish) according to the installation method.

Motor Installation and Wiring: Install the motor into the roller tube and connect the power supply or battery.

Mount Shade Installation: Install the shade in place and connect it to the base bar.
System Debugging:
Set upper and lower limits.
Pair all controllers.
Configure groups and profiles (if applicable).
Cleaning and Delivery: Clean the site and deliver the equipment for commissioning.
V. Quality Control and After-Sales Service
Quality Assurance: Three-year warranty for the motor and two-year warranty for the curtain and control system.
Service Response: A dedicated technical service hotline will be provided to respond to on-site service requests within 48 hours.
Training: At least one hour of operational training will be provided to administrative or IT personnel, covering daily control, app usage, and simple troubleshooting (such as resetting the code).
Value-Added Services: Regular maintenance and inspection services will be provided (optional).
